Yeah, I think this '"past history" part is more related to Emma and her trust issues etc. In the end everything will be fine +

Approximately a 1-1/2 - 2 weeks before the season 3 Premiere they were released. So about 2 more weeks, then a steady stream of interviews should be released daily by the actors, show-runners leading up the Premiere.

We should get hit with a wallop of spoilers, trailers, sneak peeks in about 2 weeks.
