It really was. Which is why you don't hear much about Carter and Craig. I mean, they are working but I don't think they will ever get a show again.

Probably not heading a show at least.

I certainly can. A funny suggestion I saw for the finale is that they should have played 'you just got slapped' over some parts of the finale.

They should've let her live.. I never watched and even I think that. I could see the her dead ending in a drama show, but a comedy show should've had the ending be a happy one.

It was a comedy but like Boy Meets World, they would mix in the drama which is fine. But they went too far with that. Even though, they wanted to make a "realistic" ending. Like people get divorced, they die, and they settle for someone they don't love. That last one was me, but the other two, Carter or Craig has said in some form.

The thing is though, most of us watch shows to escape real life. Some writers just don't get that.

I agree. I mean, I don’t need some fantasy existence where birds help them get dressed in the morning but it is possible to get married and stay married and alive for years. My parents have been married for over fifty years. That said, my mom has come close to dying and did die and had to be revived but my point is, it’s possible to have a happily ever after. You know if they want “realism”.

I agree. It is realistic for everyone to live happily.

The final ending wasn't realistic anyway, because I can't see how it's realistic for TR to end up together.

I totally agree with everything, the ending made no sense and was just utterly ridiculous. I like Ted too and was happy that he finally found someone to love, only to kill her off and force him back together with a girl who never really loved him and never put him first.

while it is realistic for people to get divorced and to die, it wan't for this show.

The writers should have really seen that their planned ending made no sense and changed it something that made way more sense.

I agree. They were just too stubborn.

I agree. Plus it's also realistic for people to live and stay married. It's just less dramatic.

I know people think Barney was just a womanizer but when he dated Robin, he changed. When he was with Robin, he never hit on someone else, cheated on her or any of that. He was in love and with Robin, he could go to brunch, have a family, settle down and all that.
