Hey Mav!
AOTC probably had my favorite sequence. When all the Jedi show up at the arena and ignite their sabers. My fangirl heart just exploded. PM was better after the series was completed. It's place made sense and I did enjoy all the political stuff. Loved Darth Maul, the Darth Maul Obi Wan fight, and the look on Natalie Portman's face when they first come face to face with Darth Maul. But I think ROTS is my favorite of the prequels. I'm a sucker for their type of relationships. And it holds one of my favorite scenes in the entire series.  The music, his tears, her sad resignation. Beautifully acted by the both of them. Beautifully shot. It was perfect. |

I didn't know that about Natalie Portman filming that scene!
 I hope that it shows up on Blu-Ray! I'm pretty sure my family's gonna be getting that!  Despite what some of the critics said, I thought their love story was epic and Hayden & Natalie had wonderful, amazing chemistry!  People totally jabbed at Hayden's acting and thought someone could have been a better Anakin, but I honestly don't know who could have been.  What do you guys think? I won't be offended!  We all can share our opinions here!  |

You know, I think a lot of complaints regarding Hayden's acting came from fanboys who wanted Anakin to be evil incarnate. But there was never any story in Anakin always being evil, he had to be a good man. Was he petulant in AOTC, yeah but show me a teenage boy who isn't.
I believed they loved eachother. I believe he loved her so much it made him crazy. I don't know who could have played him. Thinking back, the names I remember being tossed out was Ryan Phillipe and Leonardo Dicaprio. At least both of them admitted to meeting with George Lucas and I think Ryan Phillipe actually tested with Natalie Portman. And I just can't see it with him. |

 ITA with what you said about Anakin being good. He was still good, even up until the day he died.  He was just misguided and misunderstood! haha Maybe I'm justifying his actions too much, but it's not like he was born evil and chose to be evil. Darth Sideous (sp?) pretty much brainwashed him and that's how I chose to look at things.  |
