I really need Shonda to say something about this
I just don't believe they would do this, it's not only about Katie leaving but what it would do to Alex as well. I won't believe anything until I see the epi but they seem sure of themsleves about the AI story I don't think they would screw them up |

I think we need to stop speculating from one little spoiler. It may not even happen. I think we should focus on the positive, and that's that for now we have our couple, for however long it may be. We need to say positive or else we will be miserable during all of their great moments shared on the screen and we don't want to throw those amazing scenes away. I think that Katherine has signed on through season 7 at least so we're safe. She can't get out of her contract unless they kick her off and I don't think the creators/writers would do that considering what a hot commodity she is in hollywood and on the show.

The season have what? 24 episodes? And something will happen in episode 7 that will change Izzie's life? I doubt Izzie's "big story" will be dying over 17 episodes because of a serious illness.
 17 episodes! I don't know about Shonda's time line, but that must be several months. I refuse to believe that THIS is Izzie's big story! Shonda said in the sentence before, that season 5 is about believing in happy endings. Izzie's dead wouldn't be a happy ending. And today, Izzie said to Alex "It's not to late for us!" So they will have a future together. And Shonda and Betsy said the same in the podcast. They will be together, but it's not a typical romantic story. So I think we should stay positive!  __________________

If she leaves thats IT for me too...cos i wouldnt be abt to watch what they do to Alex's character...Izzie is the only person who understands him, who knows what to do and what to say to him....in other words, she's the only person who can control his troubled mental status....just think about how she 'made' him do what he did last night...

I seriously doubt Izzie will leave the show. I mean, Shonda said that she has had this huge, spectacular love story for Izzie since the beginning really.
