There are quite a bit of outraged comments on Twitter and Facebook about that photo and another one from Instagram. Both were taken during the performance, without permission and against the rules of the theater.

I almost posted it here myself until I saw the the comments

I am a person who believes in rules and when they say no photos, video or audio, there shouldn't be any. In Tampa and NYC, if people are caught taking them and don't stop...they will be asked to leave.

And if I'm taking a pic without permission, I do it so nobody is disturbed and I only take it for me and don't post it anywhere

Even at our convention, when somebody is caught filming they are told off once and if repeated they are "friendly guided to the exit" that is common and ok

A lovely person for sure. I've known Dixie almost from "Day One" of QAF discussion groups and met her for the first time at the last matinee of Randy's Berkshire Theater Festival performance in Equus. That was a great report

This critic "gets" the darkness of the musical and likes it. He just does not know how to spell Emcee

With ample help from makeup and costume designers Robert Amodeo and William Ivey Long, Harrison adroitly conveys a bohemian, metropolitan, entity who deftly transverses nationality, gender, and sexuality: the very antithesis of German Nazism. He is capable of warmth and improvisation, and doesn’t feel the need to ask for acceptance of whatever he happens to be at that particular moment; however, his sometimes demeaning sexual jokes combined with a slight aura of sadomasochism keep Emmce a dark figure even in his funniest moments.

... this play boasts some of the best music (John Kander and Fred Ebb) and dance that I’ve heard of late, and is innovative in its dark thematic elements and ambience, leaving one feeling deeply unnerved at its end which makes it unique and highly satisfying musical theatre.

I'm so glad for Randy. Most of the reviews are great and I wish I'd be able to see Cabaret. However, I miss his blond hair
