I've updated the first post to reflect our new project. It's pretty sparse at the moment so if you have something to add please let me know.
Anyone have thoughts on a deadline? I'm kind of leaning toward a pre-Christmas deadline. I think the Fangoria date is cutting it close and I don't know of anyone attending. Early December would make the book a nice holiday gift. What do you guys think? __________________

I can advertise this @ Charismastills when I set up the reminder this week and I know a lot of the members there are members here, and even if they're not, hopefully they'd help out. The first post looks good Rachel and I think early to mid-December is a good deadline for us. Turns into a holiday gift from her fans.

I updated the first post with a deadline of December 4th. Once all the submissions are in I'll take about a week to put the finishing touches on the book and get it ready for shipping. The book should be in the mail at least two weeks before Christmas. We have about 4 1/2 months before the deadline so we should be able to get an amazing book together.
An added bonus to a December finish is that we'll be able to include Relative Chaos in the book since that airs in September. __________________

In an effort to get this jump-started, here are some pictures of the book we're trying to fill.
  I also added some more link buttons to the first post, so start spreading the word. I'm going to put links up at Charisma Compendium and By the Book. If you link anyplace, other than a message board, let me know and I'll put a link back in the first post. I want to add some submission guidelines to the first post. Anyone have any suggestions? Should I top this thread? __________________

133 days until the submission deadline!
I'd like to have some submission examples to put in the first post. Poems and photos are pretty self-explanatory but notes and fanart are a very broad category and a lot of people may be unsure of what to submit. If anyone would like to post something to use as an example, I'd really appreciate it. It doesn't have to be something to include in the book, just something quick and simple to give others a jumping off point. __________________

I fleshed out the first post a bit more. I added descriptions for the submission ideas and a fanart example. Does that help everyone out or do I need to add something more?
I also added a submission count in case anyone is interested. The count for everything is currently at 0 but hopefully that will change soon. __________________

Excellent first post Rachel! I think that's going to help a lot. We should probably try and promote it a bit more. Prehaps at the Angel and Buffy boards? I haven't been over there in a long while so I'm not sure if they have a CC thread, but it's worth looking into. I'm snagging a couple of buttons to pimp it in my journal and look for some other lj communities.

As for promotion, I put up links at Charisma Compendium and By the Book. I'm also going to put a link in my LJ user info and my signature here. I'll put a link back in the first post for any site that puts up a link here, provided it's not a message board since it's against Fan Forum rules to link to other boards. __________________

I don't have a problem with you adding it to your site. I'll be keeping track of everyone that participates and taking pictures of the book once it's finished so let me know if you need anything for the site. A mention of the project on your site would be greatly appreciated and thanks for the heads-up on the fan mail address; it was out-dated.

Wow. This sounds like an awesome idea and I would love to help out! But, like most, I am lost at what to do. Do I make some graphics of CC and sent them to you, shutterbug? And then you would put it in your scrap book?
