I wouldn't have minded if she was,but then who would Laurel be? City really made White Canary as popular as Black. I like Dinah,but the best one will always be Sara. I was mad about Laurel b/c she's legacy and she was just starting to get interesting. I know she was the weakest link. She didn't get credit for the good stuff she did, though. Sara would have been proud of her.

They could've did the story of having Laurel die, and to honor her sister, Sara changes her name to Sara "Dinah Lance"

I mean look at that ridiculous twist they did with Dinah Drake... when she came on the show her name was Tina... and that was her disguise name....

The Dinah Drake thing STILL confuses me because who is Sara and Laurel's mother? Her name is also Dinah... her name is Dinah Lance DUE TO MARRIAGE.... so her last name is what??? They can't use Drake since they gave it to another character... in less they want to pull off a time travel trick which I highly doubt.

We never did get Sara's middle name. He grave just says Sara Lance. I also wonder if it's still there. I think it was there during Laurel's funeral.

Yup.

It's so many twists they could've went if they wanted to, I mean look at what they are doing now? Dinah Drake is the official Black Canary so... yeah.

Well, I think the chance for Sara to be Black Canary has long passed.

But I do wish they could've put Sara in Central City when the Particle Accelerator blew. I really did like Dinah Drake's origin story and thought that it should've gone to Sara.

Or Laurel.

But at the time the show was borrowing from the Nolan Dark Knight films and wanted to stick to "realism." Ironic how they introduced Barry in the same season that they had Sara return, introducing the world of metahumans to Arrow, so they're probably kicking themselves for doing that mechanical sonic device thing instead.
