I actually thought that too! I remember my feeling about his untimely introduction, but quickly fell in love with him. He was cute and good to Chloe.

^ Yeah, I believe that Clark was FINALLY ready to move to that next level with Chloe and than Jimmy appeared to introduce himself.

I loved Chloe/Jimmy... only in season 6 though.

They were a cute fling, like Lois and Oliver. I didn't think either relationships would last. Well of course we all know Clark and Lois are going to be endgame.

^ Well we never really got to see Clark/Chloe in a real relationship... but as I mentioned, I think it would've been difficult for the writers to break them up which is why they didn't do the romance. lol

I LOVE that kiss!! It was a great scene

And as much as I would love to see them actually giving a try to being a couple, I do think that the friendship thing they had worked so much better in the end

Probably because the friendships last longer, whereas when romances break apart it's always a scandal, cheating or messing up the whole relationship.

the problem with romance is that once it ends it usually gets really awkward between them, and I really didn't want Chloe and Clark to go through that

It is all for the drama. I like some angst though, but it can be done without silly drama.

Friendships are refreshing.
