I was so angry when they took Chloe memory that I couldn't even watch further until I found out if she got them back. Thank God they came back quick

I didn't like Kara/Lex because to me it felt like a rehash of Clark/Lex. Why back pedal Lex's character at this point and redo a storyline already done?

^Fatima can be correct because the writer's strike happened early in the season. In November 2007 the writer's strike took place so it's safe to assume that around 7x10, it started to affect the show and also a lot of shows didn't return from the writer's strike or continued for a few left-over episodes.
So so many of the original plans got scrapped out because of the strike and even Lana and Lex seasons changed. If the writer's strike did not happen, Lana last season most likely would've been season 7... |

^ Oh same! I remember hoping it wouldn't affect the shows but I didn't have as much knowledge in the past of it then I have now and it impacted so many shows! Some for the better and some for the worst.
