Y'know I was just thinking back to the scene where Clark was reading Jimmy's vows. We all know that our girl Lois thought he was talking to her; just goes to show how deeply in love the woman really is. Anyhow, my point is that when Clark was reading them, he paused after he said, "it's really hard for me..." and then goes on to: "to put my feelings into words..." which to me shows that some part of him was speaking to Lois. He didn't sound as if he was reading straight off a paper just for the hell of it.

Does that make sense? LoL

On some level Clark wanted to get *something* across to Lois. B/c when she turns around and has that hopeful expression on her face (which KILLS me by the way) he's not all that surprised to see it. B/c again, somewhere inside him, he *knows*. And his own facial expression conveys a fleeting sense of an emotion I've yet to describe with words. He felt it too. He so felt it, but b/c he's never felt this way before, and his feelings are so deep, it confuses him, and doesn't truly know how to deal.

I might be biased. LoL But just b/c I am a Cloiser, doesn't mean I'm way off.

The writers obviously put this scene in for a reason, they wouldn't show us something and not have it mean something. (They're not going to waste precious screen time on trivial things. Same goes for the Lois/Ollie talk. It too means A LOT.) All of these things are significant for Clois. I really believe it. Just like Bride in its entirety is a huge dtep forward in progressing Lois and Clark's story.
