I can totally picture that It would have been such a nice hint at the possibility of something more than friendship between them without crossing the line too early or forcing them on each other romantically too soon.

Love that art and that scene, I'm so greatful we got it in the movie. While there were some DH moments between HL that were not as great as in the book and some were left out (like their final scene), I'll always cherish the fact that their connection was not abandoned and it was shining through each and every interaction they shared.

Yeah me too. Granted that their scenes in the movie are really sweet and I'll take it even if there were more moments in the book that we didn't see.

Yes, I look at it that way too. I'm greatful that their connection was still so perfectly scene through the scenes they were given in the movie and I'm glad they got those moments after all.

But what? What do you mean we got that scene in the movie? Isn't that a deleted scene, because I don't own the dvd yet and I haven't ever seen that one?

I'll always be sad their final DH scene was left out because that was my favorite. But I'm just glad the movies didn't downplay HL completely, what they got more than showed what a great connection they had.

Yep, I actually saw the deleted scenes today and wasn't even looking for them.

I also wasn't expecting H/L would have any scenes for DH2 considering they've cut out a chunk of Luna already so it was nice they added that scene at the stairs.

Although that was a deleted scene, I'm still glad it was there plus there were few other scenes between HL representing their connection (like "Harry Potter, listen to me right now!") which was great to see considering how much stuff was cut off or simply not included. It's great that the movies didn't downplay the HL bond

I swear we would definitely rant here if their friendship was downplayed in movies. OotP is still my favourite H/L movie.

I feel the same way. A lot of things were not handled exactly right in the movies but HL bond was never underappreciated or downplayed and for that I'm forever greatful. OOTP is definitely my favourite movie for HL, as much as sad it makes me that these two never got their chance when watching how beautiful and strong their bond was, I wouldn't trade those moments they got in both books and movies for anything else, I'll always cherish what we got from them.

And I also love Dan & Evanna's chemistry on-screen.

I love their chemistry what HL lacked in quantity they really made up for in quality. I do have complaints about how certain things were handled in the movies but not where HL is concerned. I really like how they came across and Dan and Evanna really made the most of it.
