Boxing Day (UK):

Boxing Day is a holiday celebrated the day after Christmas Day, thus being the second day of Christmastide. It originated in the United Kingdom and is celebrated in a number of countries that previously formed part of the British Empire. Boxing Day is on 26 December, although the attached bank holiday or public holiday may take place either on that day or one or two days later. In parts of Europe, such as Romania, Hungary, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and Scandinavia, 26 December is celebrated as a Second Christmas Day.

We used to have calendars here where December 26th is marked as Boxing Day and I had no idea what it was until I looked it up. We don't call it Boxing Day over here but the 26th is a special non-working holiday for us so no work no pay.

Yeah, that's right.. But during Christmas week, I always do my hours before that week.. So that way I can make sure my client can spend time w/ their family..

Most of us file leaves around the holidays (including me) because we don't have work on the 30th - 1st. The 31st is like the 26th, special non-working holiday. The 30th and 1st are paid leaves. So December 24th-26th, December 30th-January 1st. 27-29 we can go to work but those 3 days everyone is super lazy.

Oh yeah, I have see all the files when I come by the offices, I was like what a mess.. Plus the worst time was during summer..

What months during summer? It's about the same here during Easter break as well. Thursday-Friday is a special non-working holiday so the Monday-Wednesday leading up to Easter, everyone is already in vacation mode.

Mostly was like late July to Sept.. I think that was when they always get new clients during the fall/winter..

Ah so next holiday is still September. For us our next holiday is on August then November & December.
