Me too. I feel like Snape has a lot of insecurities with himself and he'll forever be jealous of James et al. I just wish he'd be more open to his feelings rather than suppressing it.

Exactly plus I felt like he always felt like he's not good enough for anyone to have friend or to be friend bec like you said, he has lot of insecurities that he can't get rid of it..

Exactly. I feel for him though, if he's that insecure enough, he probably gets ridiculed a lot growing up. It didn't help that he was also the subject of pranks and bullying in Hogwarts. So it really defined what he became as a person.

And that too. Snape's story is really sad and tragic. But at least he decided to be a Hogwarts professor and also connived with Dumbledore to protect Harry, who reminded him a lot of Lily.

I Alway's always gave it thought why he was so dark and negative at times. But he had his momenta where he die good and what was right

He's the anti-hero so it's hard to view him as entirely good because he's a Death Eater and he grew up with a sad background so that kind of emanated in his life as he grew up.

It seems that way but at the same time, Snape was also a good professor, setting aside his scary demeanor. If I had him for a Potions teacher, I will most likely fail out of being nervous but I'll learn from his class.

And that's just his personality too. I've had scary professors in college that made their mark on me because it's either I learned from them a lot or I failed because I was just too scared of them.
