Hagrid is good with humans so he's the perfect giant to carry an infant Harry.

Exactly. Good thing Hagrid isn't like Grawp. I think if he was any larger, then he can be a risk and of course he can't be around humans anymore.

He's also more human than Grawp because Grawp acts more like the scary giants we read about in fairy tales.
