But it was assumed that they're dating in the beginning of part 2 so what happened after they saw each other at Jacob's bakery in part 1? They left out a huge chunk of their development off screen.

Nah, bec I reread the screenplay part 1, he was trying to remember if he see her before or not when he has some pieces of memory when he were baking those creatures since she been check up on him to see if he remember her or not..

So he didn't fully have his memories yet that time? So how exactly did Jacob get his memories back? Was it a daily thing where he just suddenly remembers things?

It seems that before part 2, he started to remember more, but end of part 1, it just here and there..

Yeah it's all vague. I just assumed in the start of part 2, Jacob remembered everything eventually.

What does the screenplay book say about how Jacob remembered? Did they mention anything there at all?

He start to remember by time, but not right away since he start to have those daily and trying to remember.. Even tho you can tell that Jacob do ask them to make sure if it's match up w/ his memories.. So he didn't fully have them back..

So by the time we saw him at the movie, he's not remembered everything yet or he remembers everything that happened in part 1?

Ah so he's slowly remembering everything, gotcha.

I do still feel like we missed a chunk of what really happened between Jacob & Queenie off cam. I hope their development is fixed in part 3.

I thought that was the effect of the love potion but would make sense too if he still can't remember everything.

Yeah since I wouldn't be surprise if she kept using the love potion since he didn't remember how he arrived to see Newt..
