I've rewatched GoF and OoTP over the past couple of days, McGonagall is so fierce and awesome.

I'm sure Maggie is fantastic in Downton Abbey, but it just isn't my type of show. Period dramas bore me witless tbh.

And what a way to remember the character in the movies! I know when we all saw DH2, everyone was raving about her.

After DH2, everyone was talking about McGonagall! I'm glad that she went out on top in the last film.

And what a way to shine. Reading the books, I wouldn't have any idea who to play as McGonagall but the casting directors made that easier for me. Dame Maggie is perfect. I can't think of any other to play our beloved Hogwarts teacher.

I know! I don't really see too many younger pictures of Dame Maggie, I mostly see pictures of her as Prof. McGonagall (and lately as Violet of Downton Abbey) so it's really nice to see older pictures of her. I also want to watch old movies of her.
