I’m soooo tired from a week of emotional excavation via interviews so blasting through some questions you guys are all asking me:

- YES, there is an audiobook version read by me out on @audible now. I do some pretty ropey English accents in chapter 5 & 6 and some very accurate portrayals of my parents. I actually spoke the entire book aloud as I wrote it, not sure why but it became a habit I couldn’t break so I always had to write in private, but as a result I think the book is probably better experienced on audio. Just my opinion.

- The book is out in America, the U.K. and Ireland NOW. Go get it!

- I have NO idea yet when it will be published in foreign territories. Have your people call my people! But I will keep you all posted.

- The book ‘tour’ mostly consists of zooms. I will be at Yeovil Book Festival next week and we’ll see what else after that.

- My dress in the last pic was by @sugarhillbrighton ! They’re a small, independent brand who do super spangly clothes 😍

- I’m not actually ashamed of menstruation (not anymore…more in the book) but it’s still preferable not to go into the particulars of my cycle with my relatives!! Surely that’s a normal reaction?!

That’s all for now. Thank you for all the brilliant messages so far. A year ago I had only 2 chapters written and was struggling through the more miserable parts of the book and really wondering would anyone be bothered to read it. It’s crazy how life can change when you hold the vision for a project, show up consistently and see it through, even on days when you’re not sure it’s worth it.

Nothing major to share today other than I’m feeling a bit wrung out. I LOVE hearing your stories and what has resonated with all of you about the book but I’m also finding all the attention around me/the book quite embarrassing. Grappling with this conflict of wanting to be seen and heard, and wanting to run away from society. All I really seek is freedom but I can never decide if freedom is access to the whole world or independence from it. Figuring that one out…
