We never knew if he did right? Maybe when he was about to die, he did regret everything? He looks remorseful when he was telling Harry he's got his mother's eyes.

Yeah it was vague. He could be remorseful about everything but he also could have apologized to Harry for all the times he was mean to him. Sadly people only realize these things when they're about to die. This also happened with Peter.

And if he didn't show him, Harry wouldn't know and Harry would just continue to hate him. Snape can choose not to tell him but eventually he knew he was dying so he finally let Harry show him his memories of Lily (and James etc).

Good point, but either way, I don't think Harry would hate him, but it hard to see that he carried that hate.. Not sure if that made sense..

I understand you.
 It's just that Snape never opens up to anyone so it's hard to read him and Harry doesn't know his past with his father and it's easy to hate him if he's like that. But hate is a strong word and he probably doesn't hate Snape in that sense but is just not fond of him because Snape was mean to him.__________________
