A few never-before-seen illustrations by J.K. Rowling from the Harry Potter series were released through various Pottermore stories and content written by the author. They include a look at Peeves annoying Percy Weasley as he brought the first years - such as Harry, Ron and Hermione - to their dorms; Snape lurking about in his Potions classroom with irritated Harry and Ron looking over; and the breakdown of Quidditch by players and balls.

Tom Burke is playing Cormoran Stirke!

Filming of three detective books by Robert Galbraith (actually JK Rowling, of course), The Cuckoo’s Calling, The Silkworm and Career of Evil, will begin this autumn as The Cormoran Strike Mysteries. I gather that Tom Burke, last seen as the nasty Dolokhov in War & Peace, will play the Afghan vet turned private ’tec.

He plays Athos in the UK series The Musketeers!







He was also in the War and Peace mini series!




I can totally see it. He might have to beef up a tad since Strike is slightly more rotund but yeah he's got my approval!

Now all we need is Robin!!!!

Tom Burke has officially been cast as Cormoran Strike in the upcoming BBC One series of the same name, confirmed by J.K. Rowling herself in a new statement. Burke also said he was overjoyed to star as the private detective in the seven-part series The Cormoran Strike Mysteries, set to air sometime in 2017. Said J.K. Rowling/Robert Galbraith about Burke's casting: “I’m thrilled about the casting of Tom Burke, a massively talented actor who’ll bring the character to perfect life. Cormoran Strike is pure joy to write, and I can’t wait to see Tom play him.” Tom Burke: “I’m overjoyed to be immersing myself in the role of Cormoran Strike, who is as complex as he is larger than life. I know I’m joining an extraordinary team of people on a series that for me is peppered with moments of real emotional depth and meticulously grounded in the page-turning momentum of these novels. Cormoran’s world is rich and raw.” As for the seven-part series, this is the breakdown: three-parter “The Cuckoo’s Calling,” two-parter “The Silkworm” and two-parter “Career of Evil.” Each episode will be an hour long. No word yet on further casting, including Strike's partner, Robin Ellacott. Production begins this fall in England. HBO is said to have the broadcast rights for the U.S.

Perhaps people who were so called "fans" can allow HER characters and HER stories to be hers. So what, your fav character isn't gay. Why must he be? Why must sexuality be the only trait that makes them a favourable character in the first place? If canon doesn't jive with your own personal desires then stick to fan fiction. But don't abuse the author when your FICTIONAL illusion is proven incorrect in the world SHE owns. Some people can be just down right stupid and spiteful for no valid reason.
