The Revelio spell was used on Graves and that's how they found out Graves was Grindelwald in part 1.

From what I read it is difficult for students to use that spell. It would take years of practice to be able to master the spell.

So I'm not sure if they were actually taught the spell at Hogwarts or if it was a spell they learn outside of Hogwarts.

I do think it's possible that they can learn other spells outside of Hogwarts. There are so many spells and I think they only learn the basic stuff and the complicated ones they can learn outside of Hogwarts.

And factor in how old they were that time I wouldn't want to see someone die right in-front of me, that'll be traumatic (even if that someone is nobody I know).
