I started to read another hardback book...actually re-read...it's the first hardback adult book I ever bought.... Danielle Steele's the House on Hope Street... the book is bringing back a lot of memories of my late mom. It's not a book for everyone...the first 100 plus pages are tragic... dealing with a death of a loved one and single parenting . I'm about halfway through now

It's nice out today...so I was able to take a small walk.

Dave, I lost a parent so I can relate to that book. Have you finished reading it?

Steph, when the sun is back after days of rain, it's actually not that hot over here but if it goes back to just days and days of sun, it will get hot & humid here again so I'd rather get some sun and some rain. Not continuous rain or just too much sun. Blech.

Steph.... I do Audio books... so it's been years since I've actually read a hardcover book

when I read hardcover books ..my mind is like a time machine... when a scene brings a familiar memory....my mind jumps there to the memory and I lose somewhere between 1-3 minutes thinking about a memory and lose focus on the story I'm reading.... then I go back a paragraph and re-read it.

I have one of those long term memories...it's a talent and a curse...b/c I remember both good and bad events and what people say to me/ about me

My mom got a day pass to come home from the hospital for a few hours. We are all super excited to have her home, even if it’s only for a little bit. It’s been a tough 4 weeks.

Dave, the weather here is still a bit crazy. There was sun for a few hours and then it's back to rainy & gloomy weather again. Btw, are you watching the World Cup?

No rain or clouds, but if we get rain, it only happen at late of night. .So it will be very hot and humid plus the problem is that the working part that I mostly do outside.. Ugh.. But thank god that I work at night..

Steph.... oh no...hope you have a FAN... running the air conditionaire can be expensive....Linds is really lucky to have you posting with her...You "fly the monthly post count to the moon". This is a timeless franchise... but time is also a factor b/c we haven't gotten any new books or movies what seems like forever...and yet you guys rock this board.. to the moon and back...!
