Oh just likes eagles for the Ravenclaw house although I think eagles can eat smaller animals? Or are those hawks?

They mostly like to eat worms more than others.. I'm sure that eagles and hawks do eat small animals like mice and others..

 The other house animals can eat other animals too: lion (Gryffindor) and snake (Slytherin).__________________

I found an explanation as to what the animals symbolize/mean for each house but not why that specific animal for each house and why Jo chose it. I'll look for more.
