So Tina introduced Newt & Theseus to her? I know it's possible that she's an American living in London and teaching at Hogwarts but it's not common considering during HP's time, all the professors are British.

I don't think so theseus meet her in this movie from the train scene when newt introduced her and it seems like Newt was a fan of her work beforehand

So why did she keep coming back to Jacob to convince him to go with Newt and look for Queenie? How did they know her (or Jacob)?

It seems to me that Hicks kept coming back for Jacob and trying to convince him to go with them to look for Queenie but he kept saying no.

I felt like Jacob didn't want to do anything w/ them at all.. That's my vibe from the beginning of the movie..

I understand that because now Queenie is with Grindelwald and they could have saved her but that wasn't the case. I think he might have also given up looking for her at one point.
