I saw him in HP and Secret Smile before I EVER saw any Doctor Who, so I had typecasted him in my mind as someone who likes to play psychopaths.
But then I saw Doctor Who, so I appreciated how much range he has for all his performances. Secret Smile is really bad, DT is the best part of it, and THAT line gets me everytime.  |

transcribed a bit from a David interview where he talks about HP for a bit:
interviewer: and what about Harry Potter, cause your character... David: Yeah, he's a nasty bit of work. No that was great! That was a bit different because it was filled in little dribs and drabs, cause they film for a year you know, it's a huge shoot and I just came in now and again and did my bit in amongst everyone else, but brilliant to visit that world... interviewer: yeah, to be involved in that size a production must be... David: HUUUUGE! Just mental! Ok, he doesn't actually say that much about BCJ, but still ETA: Yeah, Secret Smile is horrible but I keep rewatching it because of David  and yes, THAT line  __________________
