I don't think I'd watch it because for sure the OG cast won't be involved and turning it into a TV show is also kind of eating out the flesh of the books because the movies cut out a huge chunk of the books. However I may end up watching it anyway because I am a HP fan even though I really don't want to partake in any of JKR's post-DH works anymore. I just try to separate her from the books and movies which I love.
Generally the fandom has a mixed reaction, a large part is not okay with this which is understandable. Compare this to back when FBAWTFT was announced, heck even Cursed Child, the fandom embraced it all. |

Although the announcement trailer uses Hedwig's Theme, I think it's very unlikely that the actual series itself will reuse any of the music from the films in its score.
It's also very unlikely that any of the movies' casts will return in any capacity or that any of the iconic film designs will be reused. __________________
