I did like Leta's backstory and imo it could have developed more of they didn't kill her off. I am okay with Credence because he is a Dumbledore but yeah we can also do away with that storyline. I would have preferred a backstory with Ariana instead.

I actually thought we were gonna get Ariana with the introduction of Aberforth in part 3.

Plus there was a lot of theories going around about Ariana. That the reason Albus & Gellert drifted apart is because Gellert had a hand in killing Ariana. That's why I want the movies to tackle that past and I was hoping we would get that instead of Ariana already dead at this timeline (although a flashback would have worked too).

Yep it was not expunded in the books who killed Ariana just that Grindelwald was there as well as Albus.

This was what happened. They didn't say who killed her but specs say it was Grindelwald.
