That's true. I don't think anyone really liked the Dursleys. They were so horrible to Harry and probably took advantage of his parents death to make his life miserable.

I thought the Dursleys were very entertaining especially Petunia and Vernon

Well... to each their own, then.

I reckon if Harry Potter took a dark turn whether in his childhood or teenage years, he'd literally have blood on his hands. It's amazing how much he put up with the Dursleys for all those years.

Yeah, poor Harry. It's also down to Petunia also being jealous of Lily being a wizard. That carried over to her son.

A hug possibility but the good in Harry was much bigger and the Wealeys stood by him. He found the real family he was looking for. They gave him love so I think they are one of the reasons Harry didn't turn baddie

Definitely. Harry has always been a good person so doing physical harm on the Dursleys will never cross his mind. Granted his parents are dead and that could easily sway Harry into the dark side but he never did cause there are always good people surrounding/supporting him.

Precisely..Mrs Weasley always treated Harry as her son. Mr Weasley did the same. So, Harry felt loved. The Burrow was his second home after Hogwarts. It's a compensation of losing his parents

And I'm just so glad that he became friends with Ron. The Weasleys are such a loving family and like you said, both Arthur & Molly treated Harry like their own.

Seems like Pottermore has read our conversation

Harry loved visiting The Burrow – and to be fair, can you blame him?

Quote:
It’s different from Privet Drive… and reality
When it comes down to it, the reason Harry loves The Burrow so much is that it’s the polar opposite of life at Privet Drive. And for readers, it exemplifies what life in the wizarding world could really be like.

From Fred and George rounding off an evening meal with a display of Filibuster fireworks, to Bill and Charlie jousting in the backyard with two battered old flying tables, or Mr Weasley conjuring candles to light the darkening garden so the family could eat dessert outside – The Burrow is just the best, isn't it?
That meant a lot to Harry.. in Private Drive he didn't have a family but in Burrow he had

HAHA! Thanks for bringing that over here. You brought up the Burrow in the first place which was a good point. Everything the Weasleys are, they were the opposite of the Malfoys, another wizarding family.

Malfoys are quite the opposite.. They are no family. There is no real love. The only love in there is Narcissa's love to her son. I'm sure Malfoy always envied the Weasleys in spite of his smirking and sneering

You're so lucky that the Weasleys have been there.
