Just moving my post over!
Even if I didn't pretend it didn't happen it doesn't change how much they loved each other. It doesn't change anything. You said spike realized that buffy belonged in the light. After she ended her slayer duties she could live a normal life away from the shadows and darkness. I guess we could look at Spike not contacting Buffy after he came back as a testimate too how much he loved her, how selflessly he loved her, and how much she truely meant to him. __________________ It's official, I've completely fallen in love with Spuffy!  I think I'm on episode 5.12 checkpoint! __________________

What episode are you on now?
Well he and Angel go to Rome thinking she is in danger it turned out she dating The Immortal only according to Andrew. The comics did retcon this though that it was a Buffy decoy there. That's easy to believe since it's Andrew. He isn't the most reliable source anyway. They thought she was dancing from a distance in a club too. Then in the Comics we find out that Buffy knew Spike was alive somehow but it's dropped. That's one among many reasons they will never be Canon! It's inevitable that Spike will eventually go to Buffy. Buffy does still have slaying duties. It's just now she has real help. Buffy would get bored with a normal life and she is still The Slayer. Buffy also has seen too much to not still fight evil. I can't imagine her walking away completely. Even if she was just training the new slayers. __________________

I thought she would be done slaying once the vampires were gone. And I thought the vampires finally being gone was part of why Spike sacrificed himself, but I haven't seen it all but I could be wrong. And I thought that she would be normal after

I'm still mad at Spike because of everything post-Chosen but I recently saw an episode still from S6 and seeing him looking at her with that face full of love and need put me in such a Team Spuffy mood.
