Oh I adore Sarah, so naturally I'll be behind her. But I can't help being dissapointed that she wont come back.

About SD2, I'm kinda nervous that she did another one. I think these movies may really undermine the props she has thus far been given. I just hope that after this movie, she focuses on films that will stretch her as an actress.

To tell you the truth, my expectations of SD 2 are low. I didn't like the first part anyway. My fav part of the whole movie was the outfit Daphne wore [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]

I am disappointed too that SMG won't be appearing on Angel. I don't think she owes David anything. David wouldn't be where he is today without her. Their chemistry was a big part of the second season *sniff*
However, I think she should come on the show for her fans.

Apparently Joss Whedon says that if SMG decides to return to Angel she would be there to make a decision as to which vamp she returns for.

She has talked a lot about how she would love to give Buffy/Angel a happy ending. Grrrr.

HIGH STAKES: Angel fans may be deeply divided as to whether or not a certain Slayer should play a part in the show's series finale in May, but exec producer Joss Whedon isn't: He wants Sarah Michelle Gellar back.

I didn't see the Angel cancellation coming at all. Joss said in an interview that he didn't see it coming either. I think that if SMG had known about it maybe ages before, she would've found time to appear on the show. She probably has obligations to other projects [img]smilies/frown.gif[/img] Still incredibly disappointed though.

I'm not having high hopes for SMG returning, not that I didn't think she would, but isn't she working on "The Grudge" right now? It would probably be really hard to find time to fit a guest spot on the show. [img]smilies/look.gif[/img]

I wish she would go back though, it would be awesome and even convince me to watch the show.

I hope she comes back just because I want some B/A, since I've shipped them for eight years now. But I'm not counting on it. She's doing "The Grudge" right now but she filmed SD while filming BtVS, didn't she? It's a possibility. But from some stuff I heard, right now it's looking good that Angel might be renewed simply because everyone besides Levin, who cancelled it, believe it should be picked up. He's gettin' some major heat I imagine.

I think she should simply because people need closure on the whole B/A or B/S crap. I'm sick of the huge shipper wars.

Oh, I'm glad Joss wants her back, which implies that he'll do all he can to get her back. What rotten timing; Sarah probably was expecting Angel to get a 6th season, and that's why perhaps she rejected an invitation to return earlier in the season....but now that she's doing the movie, it may not work out. [img]smilies/frown.gif[/img] Hopefully the Grudge people can give her a break though..I mean, doesn't it only take a week or to shoot an episode? Surely they can miss her for one week or so... Really hoping we'll see Sarah on ANgel. She said she might come back, depending on the film she is making and on the storyline Joss has for Buffy.

Oh, and it's great that she wants Angel to get its due - although I do kinda disagree with her about Angel never really stepping away from being Buffy's shadow (I think it has, creatively at least), I do understand where she's coming from - I mean, I think the fact that James is on Angel now, and his inclusion was one of the main reasons why the WB picked it up for a 5th season, speaks volumes... It's great too that she doesn't want 'Angel' to end up being all about Buffy/'Buffy'. Though personally, I wouldn't mind too much... [img]smilies/look.gif[/img]

Angel has moved out of her shadow long time ago. The show really picked up after S2. I don't think that having SMG appear will make it all about Buffy.

I didn't like the fact that Angel was picked up because of James. It should've been picked up because it was a good show, not because of an addition to the cast [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]

Aww, okay I feel mean now. [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img] I totally think that a family member dying takes priority over a tv show.

I do however agree about 'Angel' being in 'Buffy's' shadow. I don't think that it ever fully got away from it, every interview or piece that I have read about it has always referred to it as 'Buffy spinoff'. And with it only getting picked up because of James, yeah its totally been in its shadow. I mean I enjoyed the first two seasons, but in my opinion season three and four were horrid, but this season is picking up.

Miranda - I'm interested in how you said that the cancelation may not be concrete? Where have you heard this? I hope it does go on, because I really want their to be another season so that it can fit more smoothly with SMG's movie schedule!

And 'aww' in the recent picture SMG looks so adorable! Hee! I love the ones with Behr, hee Buffy and Ford together again! I think SMG looks amazing at the moment.
