Marge/Bart Appreciation #1 - Because he's her special little guy.

Since we have a Homer/Lisa thread, I thought maybe we could try a Bart/Marge one.

One of the reasons I like them so much is that Marge always believes in Bart even though no one else does. And Bart kind of uses her as a moral compass. When she's disappointed he's knows he's gone too far.

I just watched "Bart the Mother" last night. It's the one where Bart accidentally kills a bird, and Marge doesn't punish him. He feels so bad.

I couldn't find many pics of them. But I'm sure other people will find some.

A good Marge/Bart episode was the one where they spent time together riding the tandem bike and stopping for tea.

I like that episode too. And I loved that Marge was able to let him go, when she realized that she didn't want Bart to end up like Principal Skinner.

Pia- thanks for starting this thread I have no idea why we never started one for them.

I just love Marge/Bart, I have to agree with everything you said Pia.

Loved the eps you guys mentioned. I also love the episode where Bart shoplifts the video game and Marge is disappointed in him and then he takes a picture of himself and Marge thinks that he shoplifted again and sees the receipt for the picture.

Also loved last season's episode where Marge gets into "World of Warcraft" and finds out that Bart is the bad guy that is killing everyone in the game and then Marge in the game gets killed by Bart and then he resurrects her back to life and he sacrificies himself for her.

Well, there haven't been as many Bart/Marge eps. They seemed to happen later on in the series.

Liz, those eps you mentioned are great. The one where he shoplists the video game is a classic. I just saw the gaming one really recently, and I did enjoy it.

Yeah it makes me a bit teary-eyed when I see that episode.

I also just love it that she calls him her special little guy.

Love the episode where they get a tennis court and Marge and Bart team up against Homer and Lisa.

The tennis episode was funny - the family eventually was replaced by the four pros.

I never saw that one. It must be one of the more recent episodes. I just saw "Make Room For Lisa". Marge is listening to the town's coversations on the baby monitor (b/c Homer had a cell phone tower installed in their house). Bart pretends to be some criminal about to break in the Simpsons house. Marge tells him that it was a terrible joke to play. And then he pointed out she shouldn't have been listening to other peoples' conversations. It was cute, and it was nice to see her learn something from Bart.

In "Little Orphan Millie", Bart was trying to get the attention of the other kids by krumping. When they ignored Bart, Marge offerred to krump with him.

And it was so unexpected, from both of them. Who knew Marge could krump?

There was an episode I saw recently where Bart was stuck in Knoxville, TN with Martin, Milhouse, and Nelson. In order to bring him back, Homer had to buy a new console for his workstation, and Bart would be the courier. After he returned home, Bart made some comment while they were eating, prompting dirty looks from both Homer and Lisa. Then they panned to Marge, and she was just smiling. As if her "little man" could do no wrong.
