Need Friends #95: Will we ever reach thread nº 100?

So here we are again! How many crashes have we survived? (and how many lovely posters have we lost in the process?).

We will just get it together and get through this just one more time! So come over here and tell us...how did you live your "week without FF"?

A big  to all!

I could find this introduction from thread 93!

http://mitglied.lycos.de/breath/friends.jpg

This is our Off Topic (OT) thread, where you'll always find someone to talk to. Here you'll get to meet members of the FF community, newbies and oldbies, who love to socialize and meet new people so don't be shy, feel free to come, post and talk about whatever you feel like.

Don't forget we have a rule here, and it is that we DON'T WANT posts that only say "hello! " or just a smilie. Of course, if you're new and you want to introduce yourself you can say "hello" and that would be enough, you won't get the punishment that those people aware of this rule will get. And our punishment is...a big fat from your lovely mod Vi the spanker! (Malha) And btw, as it's been said not so long ago...don't try to slip "is anybody here?" or "anyone around?" in your post, no matter how long, because you'll get another evil punishment

And since we like to be called by our names...this is a list of all of them:

(I'm thinking we might as well start a new thread with the people that really posts here. The other list was full of people that haven't been active on the board (of Fan Forum, for that matter) in months :) )

Malha 04-16-2006 02:26 PM

Is it really obvious that I'm posting in all the threads so that they don't have 0 posts? It looks dead when all the threads have only 0 posts.

Why, with all the things Cris and I need to do with the board, I guess starting over is both a blessing and a curse (especially as this week I've destroyed the CD in which all my savings were). But the board looks like a newbie and in a weird way I kinda like it.

It was high time to have a new list it's true.

As for living a week without FF... I didn't do anything interesting. I checked my mail twice an hour to see if there was anything new and I spent my time in LJ to stay in touch with the community. I'm a FF junkie

- cris - 04-17-2006 03:51 AM

I agree! I like it better if the threads have two posts!

I think it's a blessing in a way aswell. The board was very slow and maybe now with all the new threads most of them won't be stucked? I don't exactly think so. But's it's good we're back and the board is back. Even if some of our info got lost!"

Malha 04-23-2006 12:53 PM

Hey Julie! I'm sure you'll pass your exams :) But in any case, good luck!

So I'm back from my week of vacation. I want to post in every thread but I don't have the energy. I'll try to sleep well to be ready to post all day long next week to make up for it

Well, I recognize myself so much in your statement that it makes it funny. I'm sure you're funny ;)

Sorry about the double post!

Malha 04-24-2006 02:25 PM

No problem. Instead of posting a third time though, you can go back to your first post and edit it instead :)

Hey there! Glad to have you back with us!

KoolKat101 04-24-2006 05:42 PM

Ok thanks

- cris - 04-25-2006 02:18 PM

So, how's everyone doing?

(remember when we didn't allow these posts because they were harmful? okay, yes, by writing this I'm not breaking the rule, but I could have!)

Malha 04-26-2006 11:21 AM

Considering the lack of posts and the fact that no one from the time of this rule post on the thread anymore (and so no one could pick up the bad habits of the crazy posting era), I'd say this rule has no more reason for living anyway...

Even though, I'll stay the Spanker no matter what :P

As for how I'm doing, no very good but not very bad either. I guess I'm somewhere in the middle, where you don't feel much and feel everything at once.
My exams are in 3 weeks (from May 17 to May 30) and I'm so not prepared. But it always is like this  I should be named Queen of the Procrastinators

Imzadi 04-26-2006 12:34 PM

hey girls

how are you all doing?

MineyMouse14 04-26-2006 03:18 PM

I just stopped by to say hi!

sunspot 04-26-2006 04:30 PM

Oh I'm fine. I'm typing this from a new computer :pinkie: I can't be happier because it's new...and well I can browse fanforum faster and all that even if now I have to be super busy because I have to pay for it. And well, seem that I don't have enough time for it since I'm also burning the files of my older computer, hella files! I got it on Monday and at night I went to see the play The Pillowman - I had the time of my life there even if it was that sinister :thud: whoever brought the play to my country deserves the eternal glory, seriously.

- cris - 04-27-2006 09:55 AM

Oh Vi, I get what you mean. My exams are from June 6 to June 28 and I already feel I'm too tired of them :lmao:

Hey Kelli! :)

SUZ!:hug: So good to see you here! How are you?

Never heard of The Pillowman, what's it about? And yay for a new computer! :yay:

Imzadi 04-27-2006 11:25 AM

hey hey Cris :) I´m doing fine how aer you?

whats new with you guys? how is school

oh and hi to the ones I dont know .. I´m suz

Malha 04-27-2006 12:50 PM

Yeah for the new computer! It's always great when they're brand new and don't bug all the time.

Hi Kelli :)

Suz, it's been a long time  Glad to know you're fine!

Cris - We'll just pretend it's a trademark of good students
Btw, you who are from Barcelona will be able to give me some infos...

I'm probably going to go there to see Shaki in concert and maybe spend a few days visiting the city so I need to know a few things. I was thinking of staying in a hostel close to the Montjuïc area to be able to go to the Palau Sant Jordi easily. Let's say I choose to stay in this hostel, how close to the Palau would I be? Also how easy is it to travel around the city in the evening (like to come back to the hostel after the concert for example)?

- cris - 04-27-2006 01:24 PM

I'm fine Suz, thanks  Just about to end classes (only a month to end them, even less) and I'm really enjoying uni this term  So good to see you're okay!

So you've decided Barcelona!? :D

We definately have to try find a little bit of time to have a coffee or something, if that's okay with you!

So, let's see:

The problem with the Palau Sant Jordi is that it's incredibly up-hill (if that's how you write that), so basically even if you stay around the area you'll have to catch a bus or will have to climb A LOT of stairs to get there. There's no other solution, other than having a car, but then again I don't know where you'd be able to park it. It's not that it's isolated from the city, because it's not. But there are a couple of big stadiums/stuff together and it's made in a way you have to either climb stairs or catch a bus/cab.

However, the hostel isn't that far from it at all. It's in paralel which is a good location since you have the metro and the train next to it. So it wouldn't be hard to get to the Palau  I'm not sure at all where the hostel is located, I know it's in Paralel but that's a very long street. So I think that the maximum you'd have to do would be to walk some streets and then get to the Palau.

There are special buses for the evning (Nitbus) but I'm not sure where they travel exactly, I do know they work all night around the city, but I've never catched it so I don't know if there's one by there. I could look it up if you want to, I'm sure my sister has the info  Also, the metro closes at 2 AM on Fridays and Saturdays and opens up at 5 AM. During the week I think it closes at 12. Concerts always end at around 12 or so, so I'm sure you'd have no problem to catch the metro. There's also cabs. Which aren't really that expensive. The maximum they'd cost would be about 5 euros but you'd be able to go very far.

I hope I explained myself a little bit clearly  Just ask me whatever you need to know, and I'll try to answer
