Oh, absolutely. The dynamic is so well thought out at the moment and if they are in a romantic relationship I am questioning on how things are going to happen in the future.

For me if the writers do it right I honestly don't think much would change between these 2, we might see them a bit more on each other's show. When Chris was on SVU they were pretty much in a relationship just without the kissing and sex.

Also, I don't think it would work at all if not for the sad story arc Kathy, his wife, took. If it was a matter of him and K divorcing, I think it would have made Liv uncomfortable to pursue anything with Elliot.

Him and Kathy *did* divorce. And then *grumbled* Dani happened. And then Kathy got pregnant.


But it might help them not being on the same squad and a lot more life experiences for them both. Especially more relationships for Liv.

^^ While true about their *divorce, Dani, pregnancy, I just think if Kathy was still alive and Liv had run into her, it would just be so awkwardly weird. So her story arc of dying eliminates that weirdness.

^^ I think it's a bit of both. They've been friends for so long now and a romance has been teased at so as long as their characters are happy in the end, I'd ship them romantically as well.

Most seem to ship them as more than friends, which is why I don't really post in here as I don't. Love the friendship between the actors though

I consider this a relationship thread period. Whether that's friends or romance I feel like both can/should be discussed or appreciated.

I don't like the idea of it being just for romance or just for friendship when it can be both.
