Season 2 General Discussion Thread



It's the second semester of Junior year, and Gossip Girl is leaving no stone unturned
in her effort to control the scandalous lives/spin the scandalous lies of Manhattan's elite.
She's learned a thing or two from her first go-round — namely what her audience wants, they shall get.
It's time for her to turn the heat up on what's been simmering (Julien, have you met Monet?)
as well as look at her own impact and how she can make it more catastrophic than it was before. Even if that means lying to do it.
Old enemies, new allies, constantly shifting sands — this semester, there can only be one queen
and by the end of the school year everyone will know where the bodies are buried and just who was holding the shovel.

Fun trailer. Looks like a lot happening in the season. The ending No surprise they want to leave people with that. Georgina is back & presumably up to no good

Some friends also told me the same about the poster true, but I like it. After all this season seems to have more OG vibes in terms of chaos and mess. Plus they're all so elegant and sparkling.
Kate isn't in it anymore, too, have you noticed?

The trailer looks like pure chaos, I love it GEORGINA I LOVE YOU. What an entrance as usual, I didn't know she had scenes with kate too, I thought only with Roger, Camille, Monet and Zoya. I wonder if she wants to take down GG or anyway if she knows that Kate is GG.

The new season seems fun! They also put in some Rome footage. Monet VS Julien is going to be interesting, Monet throwing herself into the pool! Cotillion drama!

I expected more throuple scenes. By the way it's crazy that Aki and Audrey are avoiding Max and want to stay private, when it was THEIR idea to let him in and start this thing. He didn't even want it at first.

Interesting they don't have Kate but maybe it wouldn't make sense to have her in there? Or why just Kate when GG is a group effort?

Maybe they didn't include her because she's not the focus of the season drama anymore? Maybe the teachers will have less space? We don't even know the kind of deal she made with Julien. Maybe in S2 there will be more drama among the kids themselves, not generated by GG.
Kate was the only teacher in the S1 poster, I guess she's considered the mind of the new GG. so she's the only one who would appear on posters.

Ohh I'm sure there will be plenty wondering who will win and if it's something that will end this season (both Monet and Julien come to Italy) or it will continue.
