I forgot to add in Hi Ashley in my last post . How are you?

It depends on the public holiday but for most of the ones which are set dates & not set days if the day falls on the weekend we get a bonus public holiday to make up for it. So for example over Christmas since we also have Boxing Day on Dec 26 when the 25th & 26th are both weekend days (like they were last year) we then have make up public holidays on the Monday & Tuesday since we lose both. This year we just have the additional day on the Tuesday (27th) to make up for Christmas falling on the Sunday. Then the following week we have the Monday bonus since New Years Day falls on the Sunday. I'm pretty sure they do it for Australia Day (Jan 26th) when that falls on the weekend but they don't do it for ANZAC Day (April 25th). All the rest are set days of the week so can't fall on a weekend so it doesn't apply for them.

Ohhh that's super cool! I wish we had that here too, more holidays here instead it's just oh no, it's on a Sunday we have some religious holidays that even if they happen during the week, get celebrated on the following Sunday, so during the week it's a normal day.

Yeah, the teacher is kinda busy lately. More time to rehearse the lyrics of the song, though

That's a shame. It seems more logical the way it is done here. Sad that you just miss out if it is on the weekend.

Yeah, it's just awful, here even though when the holiday is close to the weekend, often people can add some more days off, it's called "bridge". It doesn't ahppen often, though.
