I think there are a ton of similarities and I honestly feel it makes the storytelling more interesting that she'd travel down an Emily path rather than a Lorelai one. Besides, I've said this time and time again, Logan is NOT Christopher and Jess is NOT Luke. I laugh every time ASP or other fans try to make that comparison because the writing doesn't back it up in the slightest.

He is way more Richard than Christopher. Logan actually has work ethic.

ETA: Also, I'm so glad you said something over in the Survivor thread about it being agenda driven, because it totally is!

I refuse to participate in that survivor thread any longer because of it. I don't need that crap in my life.

Thank you for the hug! I really needed it. Sometimes this fandom is really hard to be a part of with all the animous behind the shipper wars.

I love their shared happiness. Rory truly lit up around Logan and I grew to appreciate that in my re-watches.
