I actually think Rory and Lorelai aren't as close anymore; They seem to think they are but they aren't sharing important things with each other. Rory was sure Lorelai knew about Logan yet she didn't. Lorelai was having all these doubts about not giving Luke children and other things but she wasn't talking to Rory - especially as a friend about any of it.

I think the mother/daughter re-finding their natural bond would be a good theme for a second season. Especially now that Lorelai has a better relationship with her own mom and Rory's going to become a mom. And there is the book so they could have "flashbacks" to earlier moments.

The reason I mention Lorelai could be sick is because actors really eat that stuff up. It would be meat for all the actors. Not because I want Lorelai sick. She's one of my all time favorite fictional characters ever.

I actually agree about Lorelai and Rory not being as close as they were. They didn't speak for weeks after Rory told Lorelai about the book.

Yeah, that'd be an excellent SL to delve into more, and one I'd be interested in seeing.

I understand what you were saying and that you weren't wishing her ill, I just don't see ASP as having that kind of Hallmark drama in her show, but who knows? I agree it'd give the actors a lot of material to draw from.

True, but she didn't make it too melodramatic and besides, she's already had Richard sick. Wouldn't it be redundant?

And it was a beautiful day yesterday. It was in the upper 60's. Made me more anxious to get off of work.
