So much to read and think and write. Okay. Yeah. It's true. I don't know. I don't watch/like shows that have to much sex on it. Okay, how many examples are there but this episode of Girls is a good example. The episode wasn't about much, not much did happen within the 28 minutes but people of couse talk about the sex scene of Shiri. Shiri has hit a certain age, is pregnant, maybe doesn't know if she would act again, or sees it as a chance to do something completely different. But what did Shiri expect? She was on the show shadowing, so she got the role and she took it, she knew the script, she could've said yes. It was a very explicit and dirty scene. Not just a "normal" sex scene. It was no fun to watch, but the scene wasn't intended to be fun, it was also no positive shock or however you might call that. I am watching Roswell's season 2, so what should I think...


I am not a fun of unnecessary nudity on tv shows anyway. Why should I have to see that? People forget that actors are humans to and don't just want to do everything they read on a script in front of a camera. When some actors say that it's awkward to kiss somebody in front of the camera without knowing him much or not knowing him at all, how awkward must it be to do something like taking clothes of and stuff? I wonder what Shiri's husband(?) thinks about that? Or did she just do it?

Sadly I do not see much in the way of this making anyone think better of Shiri as an actress.

I watch those shows as well, but unlike with Girls, where having sex seems to take away some minutes of an episodes, with Sopranos (which I have seen), it's a totally different thing. Let's hope Shiri is happy with the result. She must have known what she was doing.


To the Q&A:

Feeling comfortable with the actor playing the guy for a sex scene is very important and I think Shiri knew that he was a nice guy to play with. She seems to be a fan of Girls and watches it herself. If you are an American woman, it's way easier to relate to a show like Girls than me being from a different galaxy.

"Professionally, every job leads you to the next." - Sounds good to me. With every role you can grow and Roswell was just the beginning.

I agree: Natalia was shocked to find out that Adam has kind of a not so fun life of his own. To fake being a fun guy and being nice to a girl (though he was cursing a lot) is not that hard but the apartment showed her how his life really is.

I'd like to see Shiri in a comedy. That would work, Dating Rules is prove. When looking for something different, she found it with Girls.


Can anybody tell me where that was? I would love to see Shiri on Revenge with Nick. Maybe as his new girlfriend and Emily would be super jealous or something.

Yeah, I have to watch Revenge for Emily, but will watch season 2 in Summer or after May.

That's definitely the disadvantage of having watched only 1 previous episode of Girls before Shiri's 2s. I didn't realize that Adam was a recovering drunk (didn't really remember, do you expect me to remember storylines from shows I don't care about when I have several other shows to remeber? Not really. ), so when he met Hannah outside, and was drunk, something like what Natalia had to experience is more likely to happen. "Natalia takes Adam to a friend’s engagement party, where her friends aren’t so sure he’s a nice guy." Also I didn't get that reaction (but don't ask me to rewatch the episode, won't do it^^). That's all I have to say. From my point of view it wasn't rape, but it's interesting how it could've been. Is Girls over for Shiri? If Natalie continues going out with Adam after what he did, she is stupid.

I agree with you, Eric And the idea what I have gotten of the episode from everything I've seen and read is that it was suppose to be a bit degrading for Natalia. It was the whole point of them two scenes, showing the differences there can be. I know I will probably be uncomfortable watching it, but it is just because I get so uncomfortable watching things that are very realistic, and that are most likely happening all over the world, although they maybe shouldn't.

Again, none of this makes the show or the episode bad. Just gets people thinking and talking. Which is good in my opinion
