Which is so ridiculous, but also like in some other fandoms it's the creators who definitely fueled the hatred towards Zutara fans (There's a couple of other fandoms where the creators basically called those fans fake fans etc). And I don't understand, creators of media shouldn't be this involved in the fan side of it all. Leave people to ship and discuss in peace.

And especially since the OG is literally about 3 characters drawn on paper.... Like, are you serious? Sending death threats etc over a piece of paper is actual insanity.

Honestly I don't really pay attention to Bryke except when they're on Braving the Elements so I didn't know that, but that's too bad. I'm a very firm believer that there should be a wall between creators and the fandom and that they shouldn't interfere with fans. They should just kind of let the fandom ship and have whatever theories and make art and write fic and just do whatever they want.

I wholeheartedly agree but the wording of this is making me laugh a bit. When you boil it down thats really what it is and its wild people get so worked up of it.

In an ideal world everyone ships in peace, and stays in their own lane. Creators should be kind toward fans who think differently than them, and appreciate their interest and the fact that they could inspire them. And generally speaking, fans also need to take it easy on creators. Social media has made the line between the two sides way too blurry and messy. Everyone, go in peace Like what you like in peace It should never be that deep
