Yeah no pirates, I think we can talk episode 3 without spoilers right as we have all seen it already. They had to still bring in the scroll though. But I liked the idea that gran gran kept it hidden until she could give it to katara.

Yeah I liked that too. It's truly a southern water tribe heirloom then
 It always made me kind of sad to think of the pirates taking something from another culture and selling it like it was nothing so I will not complain about that.

Them.
 I think the Waterscroll is the only thing so far I'm truly conflicted by since we know Katara has been trying to waterbend for so long and Gran-gran has just been hiding the scroll? I'm not the biggest fan of it personally. I get it's a side-adventure they needed to skip but there were other places it could've ended up. Excited to watch the last two episodes tonight or tomorrow.  __________________

I believe gran gran hid it bc she wanted to protect katara like sokka does. She knew if she gave it to katara and she used much more waterbending she could get abducted or killed by the firenation, so she would keep it hidden at least until katara was an adult. To me that makes a lot of sense.
Reminds me of how Obi wan kept the lightsaber of luke's father hidden in the original star wars until he was older and went on that adventure. Personally I liked that change. __________________

They were super overprotective and understandably so given all they had lost
 I guess she knew that Katara would need it more than ever to protect herself out in the world. Though that's a world she'll be discovered in a lot more easily than the Southern Water Tribe  I understood the need for the story to get it to her in a timely manner.Gorgeous photos __________________
