Definately does feel like an ER spin-off. The only "originals" left are Neela, Sam, Morris, Frank, and Halae. It's strange to see it this way.

I'm not sure who is worse: Banfield or Weave! They're both pretty intense chiefs.

Definately a great episode though. Angela seemed to really fit right in. I'm curious as to her character's storyline though. There's definately a lot of underlying pain.

And Sherri Appleby as one of the new interns how sweet is that!!! First starting episode for her and all ready they had her in a towel. Part of me couldn't help but laugh at that. Such fond memories of her on Roswell that's for sure. Look forward to seeing her handle herself as a doc.

Oh and that blonde intern I just right away wanted her to leave ER. She seems like a rich stuck up princess and doesn't seem like one to tolerate the mess ER has to bring.

Look forward to more episodes.

Let us not forget that Shiri Appleby was in the pilot episode of the series (15 years ago)... and taught "intern" Carter a lesson.

Totally. That's the first thing I thought when I heard she was cast as an intern for E.R.

Some of their setups are beyond predictable now (like when they said interns don't run a code on the first day, you knew right away that meant they would). I love Angela Bassett, but they made some of her backstory predictable too with her reaction to the trauma, Haleh recognizing her, the photo at the end. But I did like Frank's reaction to Banfield putting him on notice. ha!

Did you guys connect to the new interns? Daria and the surgery intern were fun; the other two, annoying. Whether all of this will be enough to keep some decent ratings, we'll have to see. Personally, I'm waiting for Oct. 30.

ETA: Lol, G! I just posted mine, only to find you had a lot of the same thoughts! How funny is that. I was thinking too that Morris was good, but it's too much for him to carry as the lead. Sadly, he's not Luka.
Yes, I thought it was bad.

Scott Grimes (Morris) and J.P Manoux (Dusty Crenshaw) were the only great parts of the episode. I love J.P Manoux so I was glad he got a little more screen time than usuall and right now Morris is my favorite Male Character because #1 Ray is not a regular anymore, pratt is dead, so morris of course is great.

But yeah...I have only watched ER regularly since the middle of season 12. So from then to know this was one of the worst.

This episode was such a rip-off of Exodus from Season 4! Back then, there was a chemical spill in the ER and all the patients had to evacuate to randomn places all over the hospital while the ER was quarantined. All that was different about Another Thursday At County is that they replaced "chemical spill" with "bio-terrorism".

That is not to say it wasn't a good episode. Quite the opposite. This episode had what ER has pretty much lacked for the last 5/6 years. Except for the big finale episodes, ER never does an episode anymore where there is constant action, huge traumas going on throughout the episode, and nobody slowing down to weep and really overplay a scene. Just intensity. Remember Blizzard? Welcome Back, Carter? The Healers? Love's Labour Lost? Hell, any episode from the first 2 seasons? The reason those are the classics is because they didn't give you a break, and didn't take a breath for emotion until the very end of the episodes (like when Greene breaks down at the end of L

Yup I could definately not forget that! Gosh fifteen years ago. One of the "first" and now they've brought her back as a different character but still it's totally awesome.

The episode to me was not really a strong episode. The new Interns did not interest me at all.. I missed seeing others.. Neela was barely there. The only best thing about the episode was Scott Grimes 'Dr Morris'- He gave a GREAT performance. I also really liked Shirley bassey's entrance as new Chief. I missed Pratt as well..
I want Ray to come soon and more stuff on the current cast.

Unsticking to make room for the new thread. Feel free to continue discussing here.

I liked a lot the 2 new female interns: Daria and Tracy! They're Yin and Yang! Love them both. Can I say I have the intern Andrew!? Eww.
