In the flashback scene I think he was a probie, but in season 1 it is harder to tell. He could have been one or he just finish his probationary period.

When I watch a new show I always want to start from the beginning. I started the show when season two was airing.

Funny part was I was doing laundry when I flipped on tv and it was still on Fox and this sexy guy was on so I sat back and started watching forgot the laundry

The romantic connection along with the friendship makes them perfect for each other, plus all the looks and the unspoken conversations they have with their eyes, the fact that they get way more upset when something happens to the other. Their bond is unbreakable.
