Well, hubby got his start date at his new position/job So if all falls right and I can get the movers on board, I'll be moving sometime the week of the 20th (July). But I'll let you know when it's all finalized.

Congratulations! I wish you the best on your move!
Moving can be really hard and hard on you (and the family), so don't forget to allow yourself some me time... __________________

Ugh, they postponed hubby's start date to the 25th and informed him that he's to cook for a huge party on the 24th ... at our house They have some inspection on the 21st and it's some celebration thing that will allow them to say bye to him and the warden is leaving too (but no one will throw him a party which is why he's doing this ) So, we probably won't physically move until that last week of July. But can't say for sure until we set a date with the movers

Is Ed actually a chef or is it just that people like the way he cooks for parties?

No, no chef. He's just really mastered the art of grilling and smoking. So people like his food.

Sometimes
Still waiting on a date. I've got to get two quotes. One company is coming tomorrow (Fri) to estimate the cost and then I filled out a form online for the other company. Who ever is cheapest under the given amount gets our business. Only once it's approved by Tallahassee can I set a date with the moving company *sigh* But I'm packing a little every day __________________

Well -- we dodged a bullet today. On Tuesday my partner had a stress-test because he has been experiencing a little shortness-of-breath. During the test, he passed-out. He had a heart bypass 12 years ago and we were fearful that there was another blockage. He was scheduled for a Cardio-Catheterization today and I full expected they would do an Angioplasty and a stint and keep him several days.
The catheterization turned out well. There is no blockage and everything looks good -- they think it is just a matter of adjusting his meds which are causing low blood-pressure. I am feeling a great sense of relief. __________________

glad things turned out well Alex.
I start moving a little load and have access to clean on Friday Then we are taking a bigger load on Sunday. Awaiting the two estimates from the moving companies. *sigh* I'll be calling to bug tomorrow. Once I get those and it's approved from the people at Tallahassee then I can set an actual date to move all my furniture and set up connections. My poor house is looking bare as everything is going into boxes I can't wait until all of this is over __________________

I did some quick mental math and figured-out that, since college, I have moved 13 times -- each time more complex with more and more stuff.
Each move was more traumatic than the previous and each time I swore I would never do it again! I don't envy you. P.S. Don't pack the twins -- they are old enough to carry something, so they might as well help. __________________
