I guess they really thought the ND fan base was going to support it, even though they did nothing to connect the two shows. ND spent three whole seasons in a time loop. That also didn't help.

I definitely think they thought they would get more support from the ND fanbase!

I think in the future, producers may try a Bobbsey Twins live action series, but it won't be connected to the CW's Nancy Drew or air on the CW. It will involve different producers and actors. If Tom Swift appears, it won't be Tian's Tom.

I don't think there's really a dying need for a Bobbsey Twins show either.

The only other spin-off I could ever see happening from this show...would be the one I've mentioned on other threads: a future continuation of the show on Paramount+ where Nancy and Ace raise their children and fight ghosts/supernatural horrors. But that would be years off.

They are the only Stratemeyer property that don't have a show now I guess so maybe they'll give it a whirl. Though yeah I don't know how that would go over. Gritty Bobbsey twins are not words that should ever go together.

A reboot picking up several years down the line would be really cute though.

If not the BTs, the Rover Boys. I can see Hollywood trying to make another property popular in the future.

Oooo my mom had some old Cherry Ames student nurse (which isn't Stratemeyer but is linked in that article) that I read. I liked them but the last thing TV needs is another medical drama.

They should do a gritty adaption of The Boxcar Children. I know that's not S.S. either...but...that could be cool!

My like second or third grade teacher (I don't remember which) had this huge shelf of Boxcar children books. I read quite a few of them back in the day! Orphans living in an abaondoned train could be grittied up and CW-ified pretty easily.

They would probably just call the series "Boxcar".
