I came here to see if anyone else heard it. A two season order? That's odd for a series that hasn't even premiered yet. CW/CBS doesn't even know how it's going to stream on the CW app and HBO Max. It's not like how the old Netflix deal kept Dynasty, In the Dark and others alive. Oh, well. We'll know more on that down the line. Drama Queen.

Well, it's not like it's a permanent thing if true. If it doesn't stream well the second season will be cancelled. Nexstar is still looking like the likely buyer of the network.

They might have some deal we don’t know about. Because I also read that even if it’s sold, Paramount and WBD will still have some say at first.
ETA: and don’t forget if it’s already renewed for S2, it would be just “renewing” it for next season because S1 is technically part of the 21-22 season. __________________

I have never heard of a show being canceled after a renewal. If anything it would stop at s2.

CW has tended to do that with shows before just not one that hasn't premiered its pilot yet.
