I expected some kind of time jump in the episode based on prior comments but not 6 months!

Maybe that was Cameron.

I just watched it. I liked it and don't think its nearly as bad as that review made it out to be. I still enjoyed it more than the ND pilot. We'll see how I feel about the coming episodes.

I mean it definitely wasn't as bad as that review made it out to be. It was typical CW tropey though...but that's hardly a crime.

BTW...someone on tumblr tried to convince me that Tom Swift is set in the future? The person was like Tom mentioned how he found the meteorite 8 years ago...and I'm like ?!!! So I went back and watched the part where they mentioned the meteorite and he never said what year he found it. Every single article has talked about how Tom Swift takes place in present day...and that ND takes place in 2022.

Yeah I was expecting to have a lot of problems with it based on that review. It was pretty good!

That's crazy They've said multiple times that it's set in present day, making it the future from ND. I'm not sure where they got 8 years from.

I don't know either. They claim Tom said it??? But he did not! He only mentioned the meteorite one time! If he had mentioned 8 years...ALL OF US would have made note of that?!?!

The premiere rated lower than Naomi in the same time slot when it premiered. But fans should definitely make sure they stream it on the app.

Back from its latest multi-week break, Superman & Lois (730K/0.1) was steady in audience but dipped in the demo. Tom Swift‘s out-of-season debut (450K/0.1, average TVLine reader grade “B-“) was not quite on par with time slot predecessor Naomi‘s averages (520K/0.1).
It's also a summer series too...so the linear ratings definitely don't matter as much. Only thing that matters is people watching on the app.

One of those media articles said the potential new owners are paying close attention to what streams well.

I can see why. Streaming is probably the only thing that matters anymore tbh.

Lately I haven't been even thinking about the future of the CW. Whatever happens, happens. There's nothing we can do about it. I don't see myself watching the premiere tomorrow because I have some things I have to do. Today I had to go pick out some new eyeglasses. About maybe four years ago I was told by an eye doctor that one of my eyes has better vision than the other. I hate wearing glasses but push through it.

The CW as we know it right now will probably eventually fade away...but I don't think the brand will necessarily die. I could see it becoming a primarily streaming vehicle one day...but that will probably be years away.

After that Dollar General trailer they dropped for Gotham Knights. They're definitely going out sad.
