Grace did go to the support group at six months, and introduced Olive to Danny a year and a half later. It's a squeeze timeline wise, though, unless she met shortly before the two year mark, because she would have turned 13 soon after that point.

They cannot make up their mind on that one. Sometimes their birthday is shortly after the disappearance. And sometimes they just add 2 years or 5 years (not 5 1/2) onto 10.

Yeah the timeline for this show is wonky. It seems like Danny has been around longer because we didn't see present Olive in that flashback. In the flashback, she was still the baby girl that Ben & Cal know.

He met her at 12, so it being young Olive at that point makes sense. Might have helped to see him with 14/15yo Olive too, though, to make things more transparent as to their relationship now.

I wish we did see more because I just felt meh about Danny & Olive's relationship. I want to understand Olive but everything is rushed for me. I think we could have had these small flashbacks since ep 2 but I think they wanted to introduce Danny very late on and at a time Ben already knows about him.

I understand Olive and where she's coming from, but because we didn't see it, I don't feel it.

Exactly. The flashbacks could've been handled better, imo.

I suspect the deleted scene was Olive saving Cal’s things in Danny’s locker and that is when they started to bond. But without it, we just have her going from being mad at him for taking her Dad’s place to saying he’s her Dad. Odd editing choice.

The flashbacks felt so disconnected and made it seem like Grace and Olive were upset Ben and Cal were back. There surely were some odd editing choices.

Yeah at this point, I don't want them to explore her bond with Danny, I can accept that she has one and that is okei. What I want them to focus on more is her relationship with her Dad.

And agree. I just want to see Olive and Ben rebuild their relationship. I do not need to see Olive and Danny.

I just realized we haven't had a Ben and Olive scene since episode 4. That's too long.
