I think they're cute because they are nice, light toned and simple. Gives off a girly yet suttle feel. XD You should use some brushes or textures and see how you feel with them. I'm more of a texture person myself. I think they'd make your graphics look flawless with a couple of well chosen textures or brushes.

I wanted to make it all pretty and serious at first but then tinypic kept messing with me and not showing my arts, so I just went for not serious at all.

ETA: It sucks that the actor who's gonna play Christian has like 3 pics..all black/white
