Okay, I finally tried. In the end I realized the pictures are quite small, but then I was too lazy to change it, but I know what to look out for in the future.. I thought it would be worse tbh, so I#m quite content..
Also I just realized the white brushes are also not really to be seen... Noted. and the font couls be bigger

This is basically the main thing.

The placement of the pictures could be done better, as you can see the right Katie is leaning her head towards the left side, so it would look better if it was on the left side.
A bit like it would be done here:


I would play around more with colour combinations and multiple shades overlapping, as your background brushes are great but it would look more interesting with more shades of the colour and perhaps your main background colour should be a tad lighter for that.

Lastly, make sure your text always stands out, make it bigger, make it bolder. Just make sure that people don't have to actually focus on the banner to know what it says.

I think those are the main things, it's definitely a fantastic start!

Things like that are why we save our progress a million times so we can always simply go back to the previous step and fix it.

I saced the PSD so I think it shouldn't be that hard to work on it again.. Now i only ned to save the cropped pictures.. that was the hardest work

If it's just for practice, you could just use png's.

it looks really good Holly, Mel's advices are always good to follow
You just need to work on the placement and the size and I think you have real potential (knowing where I come from), you did good for your first try then the more you practice the better you get

Even with the colour being too bright, pictures too small, & font needing to stand out more & be on one line I think you should apply as that's amazing . Especially since you can see & already thought of what Mel suggested. I can really see the potential there

I really hope you do try again when you get back Holly. I love that and think it is an excellent attempt although it being Katie I may be slightly bias and would love to see what you do with the tips already provided .
