I think that is what drives me to any show, and gets me to love those kinds of characters right away. Strong female characters, who end up being multi-faceted.

I first watched Reign (probably 3/4 of the way of season 1) because of her being associated with Elizabeth (who I was obsessed with after the Cate Blanchett movie) and the time period, but I loved Mary immediately.
