I think that was the official reason given by the showrunners/producers. That they got him for as long as they could given his schedule.

If they do more what would like to see in a non ship way. Cause shipping is pole rising on this show and there was a lot of good non ship stuff that I think gets overshadowed with I want more milo or in my case Matt
I would like some Lorelei and Emily and Paris stuff |

I didnt think he was filming for that at the time though but i could be wrong.
I agree emilys progression was nice. But it makes you wonder if they would have done that at all if the actor husband handnt of died. |
